Sing Alleluia forth in loyal praise,
ye citizens of heav'n, O gladly raise

Ye powers that stand before th'eternal Light,

Then let the Holy City raise the strain,

You blessed, who have joined the heav'nly throng,

Such song is rest and food and deep delight
